How much does Gazprom earn

Today, Gazprom is the largest gas producing company in Russia, which owns the longest gas transmission system in the world. As a world leader in the industry, Gazprom holds a high position in the ranking among world companies in terms of revenue. The company's income allows it not only to fulfill obligations to shareholders and the state budget, but also to participate in investment programs.

At the end of 2011, the Gazprom Board of Directors reviewed and approved the financial plan and investment program for 2012. The investment program of the company is formed on the basis of the timing of the implementation of priority projects and the level of income for the previous period. The total investment for 2012 will amount to more than 776 billion rubles, while the size of long-term investments will exceed 67 billion rubles.

According to the press service of Gazprom, in accordance with the approved budget, the total revenue of the company in 2012 will be 4.9 trillion rubles, and external borrowing is set at 90 billion rubles.

The Board of Directors provided for the opportunity to allocate about 200 billion rubles for the payment of dividends for 2011, which corresponds to approximately 8.39 rubles. per share. The decision on the payment of dividends is taken at the annual General Meeting of Shareholders on the basis of recommendations of the Board of Directors.

The previous year 2011 was successful for Gazprom. Revenues from gas exports amounted to approximately $ 57 billion, which is 23% higher than in 2010. However, this indicator is slightly lower than the previous forecasts of the management of OJSC. Revenues from gas sales in Russia and the countries of the former USSR also increased. In 2012, the holding's management expects a significant increase in revenues from gas supplies to non-CIS countries. They are estimated to be at least $ 61 billion.

Interestingly, revenues from gas sales account for about two-thirds of total revenues, and the remainder falls to the so-called non-core areas of activity - energy, gas transportation and gas processing. It should be borne in mind that in accordance with the amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation in 2011, Gazprom established a phased increase in the tax on mineral extraction (MET), which will lead to additional tax payments by OAO Gazprom. Thus, the country's budget will increase by an additional 440 billion p. at the expense of company income.
