As the state’s requirements for pharmacy enterprises become more stringent, it becomes increasingly difficult for new players to enter the pharmaceutical retail market. Therefore, for a novice entrepreneur, entry into the market will now be practically ordered, and most likely only one who has a rather impressive starting capital will be able to break through.

Think about how much you will monthly rent a room with an area of ​​about 75 square meters. It is this minimum area that is currently recognized as permissible for a stationary pharmacy enterprise, if we summarize the area of ​​all production and technical premises of the pharmacy. At the same time, the pharmacy should be located in a place with a fairly high cross, where rental rates are especially high. If you are able to overcome such a barrier (and then be able to pay the rent on a monthly basis), then the remaining costs at the start of the pharmacy business should not become a real obstacle in your way.

Draw up a draft pharmacy organization and coordinate it with the licensing authorities - first with a fire inspection, and then, before obtaining a pharmacy passport and a license for the retail sale of medicines, - with the appropriate department of the Ministry of Health. If the room you have chosen is not connected to utilities (electricity, water, sewage), you will have to carry out the appropriate work. Also, in the pharmacy's premises, it will be mandatory to install a system of supply and exhaust ventilation.

Order a set of commercial equipment - for a pharmacy you need transparent display cases and shelves with transparent doors, as well as safes for storing narcotic and strong toxic substances. Storage requirements for potent drugs are quite strict - you need to install an alarm system and conclude an agreement with a security company that will keep the pharmacy under surveillance around the clock. All surfaces in the pharmacy should be resistant to the use of disinfectants and frequent wet cleaning.

Find an experienced pharmacist who will serve as the head of the pharmacy and possibly help you with the selection of the rest of the staff for the pharmacy. The pharmacist must have not only a specialized education, but also a certificate confirming his qualifications - without the availability of these documents, the pharmacist will not be issued a license for your company. Pharmacists, whom you should have several (from two to six shifts), it is enough to have a specialized education, in addition to them, nurses are involved in the pharmacy without any special training.

Submit to the control and permitting department of the local government of the Ministry of Health a package of documents on the basis of which you will be required to issue a license giving the right to engage in retail sale of medicines, as well as a pharmacy passport. You will have to submit the constituent documents, documents containing information about the premises of the pharmacy enterprise and confirming your right to use it, as well as documents confirming the qualifications of the staff in the state of your pharmacy. Only after obtaining a license, you can begin to work and open a pharmacy for the first customers.
