As part of the ongoing implementation of the regional concept for the construction of modern logistics centers in the Krasnodar Territory, it is planned to build at least seven such facilities for the needs of local agricultural producers.

According to the press service of the Kuban Ministry of Agriculture and Processing Industry, wholesale distribution centers will accept for storage and further distribution of vegetables, fruits and berries grown in the Kuban. This measure, in the opinion of the same press service, is necessary, since regional producers are increasing yields every year.

To this end, representatives of the regional Ministry of Agriculture have already made a study visit to the Astrakhan region, whose authorities have been engaged in the construction of such facilities for more than a year. So, since 2010, about thirty modern vegetable storages and five distribution centers have been built in the region, which can take almost 150 thousand tons of various crop products at a time for storage.

A similar measure allowed Astrakhan farmers to create new jobs and increase production. In the future, the regional authorities will continue to actively assist the farmers of the Krasnodar Territory in implementing the import substitution program, which is currently very important for the well-being and saturation of the all-Russian food market.

“We are glad that the state has finally paid attention to us. Previously, in our own country and in our own region, we were on the rights of poor relatives - few subsidies, unbearable competition and no preferences, unlike import suppliers. I am very pleased to introduce restrictions on deliveries from Europe, and if a referendum is held, I will speak out only for their extension, "said Georgy Kvaceliya, owner of a small horticultural farm in the Kuban.
