Any successful business should begin with planning, which is preceded by marketing research. Market research, its segmentation, description of the most powerful and interesting players - all this will certainly lead to an understanding of its place. Drawing up a portrait of a potential consumer, identifying the preferences of the target audience, the motivation that drives it when buying a particular product - all this also helps not to make a mistake with the choice of direction.

Instruction manual

1

Develop a business plan, in other words - an idea for the future business. It must be feasible and not conflict with applicable law. There are times when friends unanimously say that the idea of a penniless is not worth it and that such a business will never be promoted in life. But if at the same time we ourselves have confidence that things can go, then we must act. As popular wisdom says: “It’s better to regret what you did than what you didn’t.” So, for example, in America there are many successful companies that are committed to the fact that we sober-minded realists would not even enter our heads. Just one example: a cat wig maker had a turnover of $ 1.4 million in 2010. In other words, no matter how absurd your idea sounds, if it is correctly framed, correctly promoted and delivered to the target audience at the right time and in the right place - consider that you have created a successful business.

2

Make a business plan. No matter what your company intends to produce or sell, numbers should be at the heart of the future. A business plan always starts with a narrative, the algorithm of which can look like this: a product or service - the target audience - why it is needed - why it will purchase it from you. After answering these questions, proceed to the production part. In it, describe exactly what resources (financial, human, etc.) are needed to start production or start an activity. The third part is financial, it reflects fixed and variable costs, estimated profits from the sale of one item of goods or services, gross profit, etc. Also, in it, provide for the calculation of the exit to the breakeven point.

3

Register a legal entity. Depending on the type of business chosen, rent a room for office or production. If necessary, obtain permits. Some activities require additional licensing. While you are solving organizational issues, hire staff. It’s better to entrust this to a recruitment agency, all over the world they are trying to outsource recruiting. On the other hand, it all depends on the size of your case. It is more profitable for large companies to create their own personnel department.

4

Develop a marketing plan that can also include a sales plan. Although these two areas are not uniform, they are so closely interconnected that, in principle, they can be combined under the concept of "marketing". Without fail, your plan should contain sections devoted to advertising, PR, loyalty programs, as well as directly to sales. If everything is done correctly, success is guaranteed.
