Externally, a bar code is a seemingly devoid of sequence of black bars of different thicknesses on a white background. However, in fact, in this sequence there are internal principles of construction, which are the same for all barcodes. And thanks to them, each barcode is unique.

To make a shred code, you need to contact the UNISCAN / GS1 RUS organization. It is she who, being the only representative of the international GS1 system in Russia, is engaged in the issuance of globally unique digit codes for goods and services.

After you get an idea of the system and international standards of product barcoding by contacting the UNISCAN organization to make barcodes for products, you have to do the following: • Fill out the application for joining the association in the prescribed form.
• Choose from the entire range of your products the list on which you want to make barcodes.
• Pay the registration fee and the cost of an annual stay in the association. Submit supporting documents to UNISCAN / GS1 RUS.

After registering in the UNISCAN system and receiving all the necessary information for creating and printing barcodes, download a special utility that allows you to make a barcode based on the entered information. The program is called BarCode. With it, you can get a graphic image of a barcode. You can apply the received barcode to the product packaging or display on labels.

Every year, starting with registration and GS1 association, your organization will have to pay a membership fee.
