Contact the district department of the Department of Internal Affairs, carrying out licensing and permitting activities. Employees of the licensing system will provide you with information about all the data necessary to obtain a license. Keep in mind that there is no single standard document format, and the requirements for documents in different departments may vary slightly.

Pass a medical examination, on the basis of which a decision will be made on your suitability for work as a private security guard. After passing the medical commission, you will receive a certificate of the established form, valid in the territory of the Russian Federation. Formally, such a certificate is also an access to weapons.

If you have not previously served in the internal affairs bodies or state security structures, you will also have to go through fingerprinting.

After collecting the package of documents, contact a special school involved in the training and issuance of diplomas of security guards, where you should undergo initial training for a private security course. The school must have an appropriate license to conduct such training. After successfully passing the tests, you will receive a certificate of completion and a diploma of the guard.

The next stage is passing the qualification exam to the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The exam includes the theoretical part in the form of answers on tickets to questions about private security activities, as well as the practical part: handling special equipment, security systems, handling weapons and knowing how to use them. According to the results of the exam, you will be assigned a qualification rank. Ultimately, the level of your future salary as a security guard will partly depend on the level of discharge. Obstacles to obtaining a license and a private security guard certificate after undergoing these procedures should not arise if you are over 18 years old, you are a citizen of Russia and do not have a criminal record.
