How to get a private export license

Private carriage is used by many as an additional way to make money with your car. The competition in this business is high, and the quality of services often leaves much to be desired. Therefore, from September 1, 2011, the government introduced licensing of this type of entrepreneurial activity to regulate the market of private drivers.

Before obtaining a license for a private car, bring your car into compliance with the requirements of the new law. It must be owned by the owner or company. Purchase and install a taximeter combined with a cash register. On the roof, attach a special orange taxi lamp, and put "checkers" on the body. Make sure that your driving experience is at least 5 years and you can confirm it.

According to the new legislation, taxi drivers are required to undergo inspection at least once every 6 months. Pass it if necessary. Consider where you will undergo a medical examination before the beginning of each working day.

Register with your local tax authority as an individual entrepreneur or any other form of legal entity. Open a bank account and prepare receipt forms (if there is no cash register).

After all the preparatory procedures, create a package of documents to obtain the license itself. It includes: an application for a license, a list of rolling stock (even if it consists of one car), a technical passport with a mark on passing MOT, a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, a certificate of registration of a legal entity, a medical certificate, a parking agreement or a document on ownership of your own a garage, a repair contract or a service book for a car, a copy of a driver’s license with at least 5 years of experience.

Submit the collected package of documents to the Rostransnadzor and in return you will receive an inventory of the documents received from you. Within 30 days, employees of this department will make a reasoned decision on the issue or non-issue of a license. At the end of the 30-day period, appear in person at the designated authority or send your representative with a power of attorney to obtain a license.

From January 1, 2012, all taxi drivers who do not have a license are subject to administrative penalties in the form of a fine of up to 10, 000 rubles.
