How to open a store in Belarus

Starting a business in each country has its own legal and economic features. And if you decide to organize trade in Belarus, it is better to learn all the rules of doing local business in advance.

Make a business plan for your future business. Calculate all the necessary costs and the estimated payback period of the store. Define the assortment of products that you intend to trade. If you have the opportunity, order a marketing research in a special organization that will allow you to understand what is missing from the local market and what is in demand.

Find the funds you need to start a business. You can take them in the form of a loan from a bank or find an investor who is ready to finance you based on future income.

Open a company in Belarus. To do this, accept the charter at the meeting of the founders, pay the state fee and contact the executive committee at the location of the future store. There you can draw up an application, and then submit the registration documents. Since 2009, a simplified notification procedure for opening a company has been in force, according to which it can be registered on the day of contact.

Find the right store for the store. Best of all, if it is already withdrawn from the housing stock, it will save you time and money.

Gather the necessary permits to start the store. You will receive a conclusion from the local health authority that the place you have chosen for the store complies with all standards. Be prepared for the fact that for a grocery outlet, the requirements will be stricter than for those selling non-food items. Also issue a fire safety report on the safety of the room. In Minsk, you will also need to have the permission of the city planning committee if you want to change the appearance of the facade or strengthen the sign on it. They will be able to approve your option after submitting the designer's project.

After completing these papers, get the most important one - a license to trade. It may be issued to you by the local executive authority or local government.
