How to find an OKPO organization

Each organization at the time of registration of a legal entity is assigned a code of OKPO (All-Russian Classifier of Enterprises and Organizations). This code shows the type of activity of a legal entity and may coincide with the code of competing organizations, because you are engaged in the same types of activity.

OKPO objects are legal entities, organizations, individual entrepreneurs, representative offices, branches. OKPO code is intended for identification of an economic entity of the Russian Federation, this code is used in Rosstat information systems, and is used as an identifier in case of interdepartmental exchange.

You can find OKPO organizations on one of the sites providing such services, for example, www.okpo.ru, which provides round-the-clock access to the database of Russian enterprises and organizations online. On this site you can get information from the USRIP, USRLE, EGRPO. You can search by OKPO code or by other parameters: TIN, PSRN, address, name, company name.

You can find out the organization’s OKPO by making a request to the Federal State Statistics Service for a letter with statistics codes. In order to send such a request, you need to clarify in your Rosstat branch the requirements for the necessary documents for this. You can come to the Rosstat office in person or send a request by letter or by request on the website.

In order to find out the organization’s OKPO, you need to provide the following documents: LLC and individual entrepreneurs provide an up-to-date extract from the registry with the latest changes.

OJSC and CJSC provide: an up-to-date extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities with data on the latest changes, a copy of the Articles of Association, as well as an extract from the register of shareholders of the company.

Along with the OKPO codes of your organization, the Rosstat information letter will contain the following information: OKATO code (All-Russian classifier of objects of administrative-territorial division), OKVED codes (All-Russian classifier of types of economic activities), OKOPF codes (All-Russian classifier of legal forms of organization), OKFS codes (All-Russian Classifier of Forms of Ownership).
