You can start sewing production immediately from the equipment of a large industrial site, involving technologists and laboratory technicians, or you can first create a small workshop that works according to the "artisanal" principle, and then, with the accumulation of income, purchase more advanced equipment and think about renting full industrial premises.

• - certificate of registration of IP;

• - premises for workshop equipment (50-70 square meters);

• - A set of sewing equipment (universal sewing machines, overlock, steam iron);

• - 3-5 seamstresses on an ongoing basis and one cutter.

Register as an individual entrepreneur. Whichever model you intend to create the production of clothing for, the presence of a state certificate will in any case give your company many advantages, although you will have to pay taxes afterwards regularly. If you start the activity without worrying about its formal side at all, then you can encounter very serious troubles. The main inconvenience in this case is the inability to advertise with your exact coordinates, which will help to get on your trail not only to retailers of clothing, but also to employees of the tax inspectorate or other institutions that you should not come into conflict with.

Choose one of the two work schemes of a beginner sewing enterprise: either you will rent a room and give part of the proceeds to the lessor every month, or you will place the sewing machines at home with your employees and will regularly take ready orders from them. Both options have their advantages and disadvantages. The first, of course, is much less economical, while the second complicates the process of organizing work for you - even if the seamstresses receive a percentage of the output, they will always be tempted to sew something for their own client or friend.

Explore the sewing equipment market, decide what types of machines will be needed to solve your immediate tasks, and try to choose the most economical, but not excluding good quality option. To begin with, it is quite possible to purchase used equipment, and then gradually update and supplement its kit. In the sewing industry with a low coefficient of automation, mainly universal sewing machines, as well as overlock, are involved. It is better to immediately get a powerful steam iron, which will prepare some types of fabrics for work.

Find qualified seamstresses who will work either at home or in a specially equipped workshop, depending on your choice. If the conditions make it possible to organize an effective division of labor, one can also introduce a staff unit for the cutter and shift foreman for seamstresses. Equipment setup will be handled by a third-party specialist or foremen from the service center of the company from which you purchased the equipment.
