How to register ANO

If you want to establish an organization whose main goal is not to make a profit, then the suitable registration form for it is ANO. This abbreviation stands for "autonomous non-profit organization." But just like when registering commercial firms, obtaining documents for founding an ANO is complicated by various bureaucratic procedures.

Check if the type of activity that you have chosen for your future organization is suitable for registering a company as an ANO. An autonomous organization may be a society that engages in charity, educational services or cultural activities. Voluntary contributions should be the basis for financing the organization, but paid services are also acceptable to support the activities of the company.

There are requirements for the founder. It must be an adult, and a foreign citizen may become one.

If your organization meets all the requirements, collect the documents necessary for registration. These should be copies of the founders' passports, official documents on registration of the organization (if the founder is a legal entity). It will also be necessary to provide the address where the company will be located and documents confirming the right to use the premises. This can be a certificate of ownership, a lease or an extract from the house book, if the organization is registered in a residential building.

Find the coordinates of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) at the place of registration of the ANO. This can be done by going to the website of the Federal Tax Service.

Come to the district tax authority about all the documents, including the receipt of payment of the state duty. Fill out the application for registration of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization, which should indicate the name of the founder, the name of the organization, the purpose of its activities, as well as the bank where you intend to open a current account. The application must be signed and filed by the founder.

After considering your application, you will receive documents on the registration of ANOs in the Federal Tax Service. Having received one of the most important documents - an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities - you will be able to open a settlement account of the organization with which financial settlements will be carried out.
