When constructing large production facilities, it is necessary to approach the matter, taking into account the characteristics of a particular production. Thus, the requirements for the workshop for the manufacture of confectionery products must differ from the requirements for the design of the workshop for the production of garments or stone products. The construction of workshops is a responsible and serious process requiring appropriate experience and equipment.

Instruction manual

1

Prepare the tools and equipment necessary for construction and installation works. Regardless of the material from which the walls of the structure will be made, you will need accurate measuring instruments, for example, a laser building level or a multifunctional device (level). There is no need to buy cars and sophisticated construction equipment - they can be rented for the duration of the construction.

2

Select the material to build the workshop. As a rule, in the construction of production facilities, structures made of concrete blocks or metal are used. In some cases it is convenient to use a lightweight galvanized steel profile. As a roof, use ordinary plates or metal sheets. Make the window openings spacious and wide so that as much light as possible enters the room.

3

Think over and calculate the ventilation system device. This is one of the crucial moments in the construction of the workshop. Regardless of whether the workshop will be used for chemical processing of leather products or metal processing by cutting, the room should be well ventilated.

4

Determine what the lighting of the workshop will be. In addition to natural, you will need to arrange an artificial lighting system. It should be both general and local, close to jobs. The working capacity of the participants in the production process, and hence labor productivity, will depend on the level of illumination.

5

Provide a smooth, even and strong floor in the workshop premises, especially if heavy equipment is to be installed in the workshop. If it is planned to use water according to the production technology, provide for a slight slope and outlets for draining process water. On the prepared floor, install the substrates for the units and machines.

6

Walls should be finished in a simple and functional style. Do not use flammable materials, including paints, when walling. The only things that should be placed on the walls are production instructions and safety posters.

7

For storage of production materials and tools, provide separate storage rooms, access to which should only be available to those workers who are directly involved in the production process.

8

Equip the workshop with fire fighting equipment. You will need a box of sand, fire extinguishers, buckets, axes and shovels.
