How to get a fishing quota

Fishing on the territory of the Russian Federation is carried out in strict accordance with the distribution of shares of fishing quotas. To participate in the distribution of shares, you must submit an application to the territorial body of the Federal Agency for Fisheries.

You will need

• - documents for a fishing enterprise;

• - certificate of entry in the register of legal entities (individual entrepreneurs);

• - certificates of the absence of tax arrears.

Annually, on a scientific basis, it is determined what volumes of fish can be caught without causing damage to the population, which is the basis for the fishing quota, which is divided into shares between fishing companies. The latest amendments to the rules for obtaining quotas stipulate that now catch quotas will be divided by 10 years, which should facilitate the influx of investments in the construction and modernization of ships, as well as in the development of the processing industry on the coast, creating additional jobs in the coastal regions. In addition, such changes stimulate business interest in maintaining fish populations.

To obtain a quota, a fishing company submits an application to the territorial bodies of the Federal Agency for Fisheries indicating the applicant’s personal data: - for legal entities - name, Pension Fund, location, bank details, TIN, contact phone number; - for individual entrepreneurs - personal data (including data of an identity document), place of residence, bank details, TIN, contact phone number, attaching to it: - for legal entities - copies of constituent documents, extract from the register; - d I am an individual entrepreneur - an extract from the USRIP; - copies of documents on property rights to vessels of the fishing fleet (own or used on a freight basis), certificate of suitability of the vessel; - a certificate issued by the tax authorities that the applicant does not have any arrears of payment in budgets of all levels.

The listed documents are submitted to the Federal Fisheries Agency directly by the applicant or are sent by valuable letter strictly on time. Consideration of documents submitted by applicants is carried out within 3 weeks from the time of receipt of applications, after which the Agency approves a list of applicants for whom quota shares are assigned, and agreements are concluded to secure them.

On the basis of the contract, fishing enterprises are provided with a fishing plot for the purpose of industrial fishing.
