How to find a product release

For accurate planning of the activities of the manufacturer, it is necessary to know the release of finished products. This indicator also gives the head of the organization information on how much production capacity needs to be involved in the work.

The easiest way is to calculate the number of products produced using a statistical report, which is usually compiled by the organization’s accounting department for a local statistics office. Such a document is most often compiled once a quarter, so you can systematically check how many products your company has produced in the time you are interested in.

If, however, quite a lot of time has passed since the preparation of the last report, then the output must be calculated by another method. Find the number of products produced at the beginning and at the end of the reporting period, subtract the first number from the second. Then subtract from the resulting number the remnants of the product that was not sold. So you get the approximate volume of release of your goods.

You can also track the number of products released by how your organization’s revenue rate has changed. To do this, you will need form number 2, which accountants make up for each reporting period. Compare several reports (preferably at least two or three), then you will get a clear picture of what is the dynamics of the release of goods at your enterprise.

There is a standard formula that is used by many employees of large enterprises in order to find the volume of products. For accurate calculations, you will need knowledge of the volume of goods sold, the balances of unsold goods in stock, as well as information on the balances of goods produced that were available at the beginning of the reporting period. Add together the number of goods sold and the balances that are currently available, and then subtract from the resulting amount the balances of goods that have passed in the reporting period from the past.

The data obtained by you will help to clarify how to organize the sale of products with the help of distributors. If the production capacities of the organization are large enough, then, based on your calculations, you can increase the number of goods created by the enterprise.
