How to open your taxi

From a formal point of view, opening a taxi service is not particularly difficult. It is enough to register as an individual entrepreneur or to establish an enterprise, indicating the appropriate OKVED code as the main type of activity. But with the conduct of activities can be more difficult.

Come up with a name for your taxi service. If you establish an enterprise, this can simultaneously become a name for him, but this condition is not necessary.

If you want to associate a brand with a dispatcher’s phone number (for example, “Five Taxi” with a 5-digit telephone), first check with your telephone company to see if it is free and, if possible, “stake” it with you.

The law does not oblige you to register the selected name as a trademark, but it is better to do it, although the procedure is costly: it ensures that no one forbids you to use this name, but you will have such a right. You can find out the details of trademark registration in Rospatent.

Register your company or individual entrepreneur with the tax office. To do this, you will need to prepare a standard package of documents, for each case your own, and pay the state duty (details and size can be clarified in the tax office or Sberbank).

In the constituent documents (when registering the IP - in the application) indicate OKVED code 60.22 "Taxi activities" as the main type of activity. In the application for registration of IP, he should go first in the list.

When establishing an enterprise, it will also be necessary to resolve the issue with the legal address of the company and the registered capital.

After receiving documents on the state registration of an individual entrepreneur or enterprise, you will receive statistics codes at the territorial office of Rosstat, open a bank account and make a seal.

After that, from a formal point of view, you can fully work. But the material and technical base and the cost of it depend on your capabilities and ambitions: will you buy and maintain your own taxi fleet and paint cars in company colors or will you limit yourself to collecting orders by phone and distributing them among third-party drivers for your percentage on each trip, Will you hire staff or prefer to work with drivers who have the status of an entrepreneur, will you work with taxi drivers who have their own cars or rent their own and much more.
