One of the options for a profitable business is the opening of a summer cafe. The presence of such a platform helps to increase revenue for stationary restaurants and bars and makes it possible for entrepreneurs who do not have their own catering to earn money. An outdoor area is usually open from May to September. If things go well, you can resume work next season.

Instruction manual

1

Choose a place where your cafe will be located. Stationary restaurants place open areas at or near the entrance, on a spacious balcony or on the roof. If you don’t have your own catering facility yet, you can choose a place in the park, on the site near the bus stop or inside the block. The main thing is good cross. On how many people will notice and visit your future cafe, its profitability depends.

2

Contact the district or city department of the consumer market. In the application, state your request for opening. Indicate the desired location, assortment of dishes and drinks, capacity, necessary equipment. It is advisable to clarify that your future cafe will not become a problem for the city, but rather decorate and revitalize the landscape.

3

Submit an application two months before the expected opening. Typically, summer cafes begin work in May and end in September. Keep in mind that restaurant owners must receive annual permission to open a summer playground. The timing of the application depends on many factors. It is possible that you will be invited to a conversation and asked to make adjustments to the plan.

4

After receiving permission, deal with the equipment of the cafe. You will need a canopy from rain and sun, tables and chairs, a bar, display cases. It is most beneficial to sign an agreement with representatives of beer companies - they can provide branded umbrellas, furniture with logos, equipment for bottling beer and even dishes. And, of course, our own beer line. Keep in mind that you will need to coordinate with the supplier the range of drinks that your cafe will sell. If cooperation suits you, and your work does not receive complaints from the supplier, the contract can be extended to next year.

5

Economy-class cafes are furnished with inexpensive plastic furniture. But if you pretend to a certain price level, take care of a more stylish environment. Wicker chairs or wrought-iron sofas with soft pillows will add style to your establishment.

6

Think over the menu. For stationary restaurants and bars, this will not be a problem. But if you do not have your own kitchen, you will have to limit yourself to semi-finished products. Find a supplier of ready-made dishes - pastries, sandwiches, salads, dumplings. Purchase a refrigerated display case and microwave to heat frozen foods. Ice cream doesn’t interfere - a company showcase can be provided by distributors in your area.

7

Install a coffee machine, blender, and beverage cooler. Although the main revenue of the cafe is made by buyers of draft beer, do not forget about lovers of coffee, cold juices, milkshakes. It’s good to buy a barbecue or grill - this will significantly expand the menu of your cafe.
