Not all organizations pursue goals such as profit. For those associations that are created with the aim of developing charity, sports or culture, there is a special registration scheme with government agencies.

Find out if your organization’s nonprofit status is appropriate. As its main goal, it should declare any activity not related to obtaining material benefits. Moreover, the provision of paid services by this organization may be allowed, but to a limited extent. For example, a charitable organization established as a non-profit organization may hold auctions in support of any vulnerable groups of the population to obtain working capital.

Decide who will lead the organization and have a meeting of future leaders. At it you will have to form a package of constituent documents of your society - the charter of the organization and the minutes of the meeting that it was decided to create a new non-profit structure. In the charter you must regulate the composition of the organization’s leadership, its name, the possibility of withdrawing from or joining it.

Gather the necessary documents for registration. A passport will be sufficient for an individual, and if the founder is a legal entity, you will need his registration documents, an extract from the All-Russian Register of Legal Entities, as well as an identity card of the head. Also pay the registration fee of the new legal entity. The amount and details you can find in the tax authority at the place of residence.

Transfer the package of documents to the department of the Ministry of Justice at the place of registration of the organization. You will also need to write an application for registration of a non-profit organization on the spot.

Wait until the registration documents are prepared and pick them up. From now on, your nonprofit organization will be deemed officially existing.
