PR (public relations), or public relations, is a management function through which harmonious and mutually beneficial relations are established between society and the organization. Namely, a favorable opinion of the public about the company depends on these relations.

To achieve the goals, manufacturers use various PR-methods and technologies. Methods are divided into sociological and marketing.

Sociological include:

1) Questioning - a written form of the survey, most often taking place in absentia. It is justified when you need to interview a large audience. Provides maximum relevance of information.

2) Interview - a type of conversation in which the facilitator asks questions directly. The value of this method lies in the specificity and uniqueness of the data obtained.

3) Desk research - the study of existing data - reporting documents, etc. Information is collected, processed and analyzed, and a plan for further actions is drawn up on its basis.

Marketing methods include:

1) Segmentation - the division of the market into specific groups with different requirements, desires and opportunities. This strategy is necessary for manufacturers to optimally use their resources.

2) Positioning - establishing the scope of the product, the circle of potential buyers, its competitiveness. Determination of fundamental differences from similar products manufactured by competitors.

The key task of using PR technologies in establishing and maintaining two-way communication between a company producing a product or service and consumers or suppliers.
