Oleg Vladimirovich Deripaska was born on January 2, 1968 in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod) region. In 2007, the Basic Element group of companies merged with the assets of a similar Swiss industrial network Glencore, as a result of which Deripaska became the CEO of the RUSAL merged company, which actually became a monopolist in the metal processing industry.
