What documents are needed to open an IP

Any person carrying out commercial activities on his own behalf in the territory of the Russian Federation must be registered as an individual entrepreneur. At first glance, this procedure may seem rather complicated, but it is not.

In order to register an IP in your name, you will need to prepare several documents of a certain type for the tax authorities.

To assign an individual entrepreneur the status of an individual entrepreneur, only 4 documents are required (and in some cases even 3): an application for registration of a person as an individual entrepreneur in the form of Р21001, an application for transfer to the simplified tax system (simplified taxation system), a receipt for payment of state duty and a copy of the passport.

Application for registration of an individual as an individual entrepreneur. It consists of four sheets, forms for filling can be downloaded from the Internet. The first two pages indicate the personal data of the individual (name, address of registration, passport data, etc.). The third sheet should contain information about the type of activity of the future entrepreneur. It is written in code form in accordance with the All-Russian Classifier of Economic Activities.

The last form is a receipt on the reliability of the specified information and directly a request for registration of IP.

Receipt for payment of state duty. It can be found on the Internet in electronic form and is easy to fill out according to the sample. All necessary details are registered on the website of the Federal Tax Service in a special section on state registration and accounting.

Application for the transition to the simplified tax system. Such a document will allow the entrepreneur to pay less taxes than with the standard system. Simplified is most common for small or medium-sized businesses.

This statement is prepared in the amount of two pieces. It is not necessary to submit it when registering an IP, it can be done within 30 days from the moment of assigning the status of an entrepreneur. But it’s better to do everything right away to avoid further paperwork and additional trips to state authorities.

A copy of the passport is the final document that is necessary to start the process of considering an application for registration of a person as an individual entrepreneur. As a rule, it is enough to provide two main spreads - with personal data and with information about registration. But sometimes they may ask for copies of all pages containing any information.
