How to trade with Ukraine

Trade between Russia and Ukraine is regulated both by the national legislation of these countries and by bilateral treaties. The trade regime with Ukraine is much freer than trade with other countries.

Issue a Russian certificate of origin of goods, namely the ST-1 form of this certificate. It will confirm the fact that the goods that you intend to import into the territory of Ukraine are actually produced in the Russian Federation. You need to issue this certificate, because its availability will allow you to legally avoid paying customs duties, as well as levying VAT on goods.

Make a package of additional certification documents. This can be a veterinary certificate, phytosanitary certificate, hygienic certificate, quarantine permit, etc. The list of these documents depends directly on the product you want to import. In the case when you do not issue these certificates and conclusions, you will not be able to obtain a certificate of conformity with GOST R.

Contact a certification body accredited by the Gosstandart system in order to be issued a certificate of compliance with the GOST R certification system. To do this, employees will test your product in specialized laboratories and then draw up a protocol corresponding to the research results. It is he who will serve as the basis for the certificate itself to be issued directly to you. This document at the border will be able to confirm that the goods you import comply with all those safety and quality requirements that are established by the current rules and standards.

Fill in the cargo customs declaration. You will need to indicate in this document the cost of the goods, the vehicle that delivers it, as well as information about the recipient and sender of the goods. Be sure to indicate the real value of the goods, because if a fraud is discovered, they will be able to classify it as smuggling. After you fill out the declaration, certify it with the customs inspector.
