How to renew a guard license

Security guard license (certificate) - a document whose validity period is limited and is 5 years. After the expiration of this period, the document shall be renewed in accordance with the legislatively established rules.

Licensing of private security activities is regulated by the Federal Laws of the Russian Federation and Government Decisions determining that the validity of a security guard license is limited to five years and after the expiration of this period this document must be renewed (it can be renewed an unlimited number of times). The license is issued only to employees of security companies at the place of residence or registration of this company.

If you need to renew the security certificate, please contact the Department of the organization of licensing and permitting control of the private detective and security activities of the Department of Internal Affairs of the region at the place of residence or at the place of storage of the registration file of the private security organization. License renewal is carried out after training according to the advanced training program for private security guards.

It is necessary to apply for a license extension no later than 30 days before the expiration of the current license.

When applying for a license renewal, submit the following documents:

- application form in the established form;

- passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation (copy);

- a valid security guard license (copy);

- a medical report in the form established by the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, issued no more than 1 year ago (form F-046);

- a document on the training in accordance with the advanced training program for private security guards and passing the exam (copy);

- 2 photos 4x6;

- receipt of payment of state duty for renewal of a certificate in connection with its renewal.

All copies must be certified by the head of the company or notarized.

When applying for the extension of a security guard license, carry the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and a valid license.

5-7 working days after the submission of documents for the renewal of the license, contact the licensing authority for an extended certificate.

Both the citizen himself and the head or representative of the security organization in which he works can apply for an extension of the security guard license.
