How to get a license for security activities

The Law of the Russian Federation "On Private Detective and Security Activities", published in 1992, clearly regulates all issues related to security activities. It is possible only after obtaining a license (a permit for the implementation of this type of activity).

You will need

• - passport and its copy;

• - two photos 4 by 6 cm;

• - medical report;

• - certificate of special training and qualification of a guard and a copy thereof;

• - receipt of payment of state duty.

A guard who has received a license can engage in the protection of citizens and their property on a paid basis. The license entitles its holder to ensure order at various events and advise on protection issues. The vacancy of a private security guard is one of the most profitable and sought after. It is possible to engage in security business only after obtaining a license from the state.

A license to engage in security activities is issued to private individuals by a licensing permit group at the District Department of Internal Affairs on certain conditions: - age over 18 years old, - special training, - without a criminal record, - without administrative responsibility, - without diseases that impede work in private security.

For obtaining a license, contact the above-mentioned bodies, which carry out work on the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation dated June 19, 2006 under number 447. Before submitting documents to the police department, go through a medical commission that will issue a conclusion on the suitability for work as a private security guard. A health check will be an assessment of health for the presence of a disease preventing a private guard. Such an inspection can be done at a medical institution that has a license for such an examination of citizens.

Get theoretical and practical training in a licensed organization or in special courses of private security guards. Pass the special commission, consisting of the police department, an exam, consisting of theoretical and practical parts. You will be tested knowledge of the legislation on the security area, the duties and rights of a private security guard, skills in possession of weapons and special protective equipment.

After successfully checking the knowledge, results of the medical examination and professional training, you will be qualified and issued a certificate of a private guard.

If you have received 4th category, you can carry out protection using special means. Upon receiving the 5th category, you can use only self-defense weapons in your work. 6th category gives the right to all types of weapons.
