Naturally, knowledge about market conditions and operating principles comes with experience, but, nevertheless, in order for the procurement to be successful, some rules can be applied.

So, if you have been working in the field of trade for more than a month, do the following. Conduct a thorough analysis of inventory and turnover over the life of your company. This will determine the optimal amount of purchased goods in each group and for each supplier.

Given the seasonality factor, adjust the value of stocks of goods and optimize their trade turnover. As a result, you can calculate the optimal delivery rhythm for each group of goods from each supplier.

Make a plan of turnover, monthly and quarterly, for each group of goods. So you plan bulk purchases for all suppliers for future periods.

After that, already in accordance with the prepared procurement and turnover plan, as well as taking into account the remaining expenses and income in the plans, draw up a budget for the movement of financial resources separately for each month. Do not forget to take into account all current expenses that arise during the operation of the enterprise.

Finally, draw up a daily payout schedule and adhere strictly to it. Adjust the plan daily, taking into account changes in the company.

Also remember that for successful procurement planning you need to determine not only the optimal sales, purchases and assortment in groups. Consider the starting point for planning the state, that is, the contents, of the warehouse. Based on the needs of the warehouse in the current period and determine the optimal volume of goods with equal to the minimum costs for the goods. Compare the result with the budget, and you will receive the necessary numbers for the analysis.
