How to open your social store

Social stores sell essential goods at special discounted prices. This does not mean that low prices are caused by low-quality goods, advertising tricks or price dumping. The activities of such stores are controlled by the city administration, which may operate under the Law on Accreditation of Social Stores.

To open a store, register an LLC. It is easier for a legal entity to win a city competition for opening an enterprise selling food and non-food social goods.

Submit an application to the city administration (or district prefecture) to open a social trade store in a specific area. At this point, you should already have agreements with suppliers of goods from the list of socially significant ones. At the same time, the retail price for such goods is set at 10-15% lower than the city. And veterans, retirees and citizens of privileged categories should be given an additional discount of up to 10%. The list of essential goods approved by the State Statistics Committee includes 33 names of products and 3 names of non-food products.

You can ensure a low price for goods due to the fact that a social trading company can have benefits when renting a room. In this case, the city administration can allocate from the fund of non-residential premises for free use. You can purchase goods of social significance from various suppliers (naturally, if they have all the established documents and certificates). Therefore, in your store, along with the advertised product, there may be a product that is not inferior to it in quality, but at the same time cheaper. This product should be included in the social list.

Get special accreditation as a social trading company. Sign a tripartite agreement on social partnership with the city (district) administration. The administration has the right to control the activities of such stores, to participate in the pricing of essential goods.

The so-called advertising of a social store can be taken over by the administration of the city (district). She can recommend visiting such shops in social protection bodies, nursing homes, public associations of veterans and pensioners.

Label the products at discounted prices with special colored price tags to make it easier for the customer to navigate. Additionally, you can make discount cards, which will provide an additional discount.
