Only a notary public can open a notary's office. Notarial activity in Russia is licensed. After passing the exam, you take the oath and get a license. Now you have the right to engage in notarial activities. Despite the fact that under the law a notary is not an entrepreneur, in practice, a notary's office is a small business. You have the right to open settlement and other accounts in any bank, including foreign currency, to hire and fire employees (you will need at least one assistant), to manage the income received.

It is worth remembering that the number of notaries is determined by the justice authority and the notarial chamber. That is, this amount is limited. For a notary, this is a big plus, because he will always have work. However, the profit of your notary office can be significantly increased if you take into account several important points.

Of great importance is the good location of the notary's office. A win-win option - a notary office next to a law or real estate company, translation agency. Such companies are most often located in the city center. It will be more expedient if the opened notary office works seven days a week, like many translation agencies and real estate companies. The main services provided by the notary's office should be the certification of contracts and wills, as well as the authentication of signatures on documents and the authenticity of copies from documents, since the demand for such services is always stable. Do not forget about the work of a notary public on trips (for example, to the patient’s house - to certify the will). On trips, a notary earns twice as much as in an office.
