Create a business plan for your service. Calculate the cost of renting or buying a workplace, technical support. Estimate the costs of paying staff and compensation payments to drivers (if they will work on their vehicles). Plan the timing of reaching self-sufficiency based on the tariffs adopted in the transportation market.

Find a room with several rooms. Separate rooms are needed for dispatchers and operators, technical specialists, accounting, the director’s office. It will be good to make a separate lounge.

Engage in technology and communication. Swipe your local network. Get simple, catchy cell and landline numbers. On them you will receive calls from customers.

Get equipment that will distribute calls between dispatchers, keep a record of negotiations, process orders. You can purchase a specialized hardware and software system designed specifically for taxi services. It is an automatic station that supports all the necessary functions. You can install additional modules for it - GPS navigation, electronic maps, autoinformer. The communication of the control room and taxi here is via a GPRS connection. If it’s expensive for you, use several devices in conjunction — a PBX, a recorder, a server for processing and distributing orders. But, in this case, you will have to buy radios for drivers and rent or buy your own radio frequency.

Form a car fleet. You have several options - buy cars, rent them, or hire drivers with your own car. The first option allows you to properly monitor the condition of the cars and put your own company logo on them. But your fleet requires high maintenance costs. At the initial stage of the service, it is better to take drivers in their own cars.

Recruit staff. Hardworking, polite dispatchers and responsible drivers are the key to the success of your service. When hiring drivers, give preference to those who know the city well and have experience in this field. It is better if the job in your service is the only one for the candidate.
