The exhibition of children's works is a great way to present a developing center, art school or other children's institution. Drawings, crafts from natural materials, compositions from clay or plasticine, dolls and soft toys - all this can be beautifully displayed, correctly arranged and presented to the public. Such an opening day will delight not only adult visitors, but also young authors themselves, because public recognition is very stimulating creative activity.

Instruction manual

1

Choose the subject of a future exhibition. You can imagine the work done in different techniques or focus on only one type of needlework. For example, the vernissage My Favorite Doll can combine a soft toy, clay crafts, models of clothing for toys, drawings, and folk crafts. And the exhibition "I draw the city" will include only drawings made in different techniques.

2

Find a spacious and bright room. A combination of daylight and artificial light is desirable. If the main lights are not enough, set the backlight for work located in the corners.

3

Consider the principle of the layout of work. Children's crafts are distinguished by brightness and immediacy. Do not build them in boring rows along the walls. Make compositions by combining works of a similar style together. If the exhibition is organized for adults (for example, parents) and older children, crafts can be displayed in the public domain - it’s more convenient to view and photograph them. If a large influx of people is expected, as well as the presence of babies, put small plastic in the windows.

4

Draw your drawings in passepartout - these will immediately give the exhibition solidity. Buy simple frames from unpainted light wood that do not distract attention from the work. It is most convenient to hang them on stands covered with fabric - such mobile systems are easy to move. If you decide to place the drawings on the walls, fasten them with a fishing line on a beam, mounted under the ceiling.

5

Label all works, indicate the name of the craft or drawing, the name and age of the author. Simple white plates with large, bright print look best. It’s nice to supplement them with additional materials - children's poems that are suitable on the topic, information about the author with a photograph, a description of the technique in which the work is done.

6

Opening the exhibition, arrange a real opening day. Draw a vibrant announcement poster and hang it at the entrance. Organize a small buffet - juice, mineral water, tea or coffee plus dry cookies and sweets will be appreciated by both children and adults. You can arrange a mini-auction of works, invite a journalist from a children's or school newspaper, organize a competition in several categories. Try to turn the exhibition into a real event in the life of a school, kindergarten or development center.
