How to write an additional agreement

The need for an additional agreement arises if it is necessary to present in a new edition of certain provisions of an existing agreement. With a permanent long-term contract, an additional agreement may draw up each individual project.

Before proceeding to draw up an additional agreement, the parties discuss among themselves clauses of the agreement that need to be adjusted, and their new version. They can also be agreed upon when exchanging drafts of the text of the supplementary agreement. The reason for drawing up an additional agreement may be the postponement of cooperation, price changes, the entry into force of legislative provisions, which cease to be satisfied by certain provisions of the contract, and much more. With the design nature of the cooperation, the features of a particular project may be prescribed in the agreement.

As in the contract, the place to conclude the agreement is indicated on the left under the heading, and the date on the right in the same line.

Like any document, an additional agreement must be entitled and assigned a serial number: 1, etc., depending on which account the agreement is concluded under a specific contract. The second line contains the output of the contract to which this document relates: name, number and date of signing.
The preamble, as well as in each bilateral document, indicates the parties, named in the same way as in the contract itself, and their representatives, as well as the documents on the basis of which they act. For example, the charter, power of attorney, certificate of registration of the entrepreneur. If nothing has changed since the conclusion of the contract, the preamble is simply copied from there.

The following are the provisions of the contract that need correction, in a new edition or a description of the essential features of the project that are not reflected in the contract and referred to the competence of separately concluded additional agreements. It is advisable to devote a separate part of the document to each aspect (for example, timing, price, settlement procedure etc.), naming them, as in the contract, and disposing in the same sequence as in it. In the final provisions, do not forget to state that the supplementary agreement is integral The nature of the contract, and the possibility of correction by a separate agreement.

At the end, as in the contract, the names and details of the parties are given, then the document is sealed with signatures of representatives of both parties and seals.
