How to register an IP in a pension fund

Registration of individual entrepreneurs in the Pension Fund is a prerequisite for doing business. Registration of individual entrepreneurs is carried out by the territorial branches of the Pension Fund.

You will need

• - copy of the TIN;

• - A copy of the certificate of state registration as an individual entrepreneur;

• - a copy of the insurance certificate of compulsory pension insurance;

• - An employment contract with an employee;

• - copy of the passport.

Registration in the Pension Fund will happen automatically after you receive the PSR in the tax office. The Pension Fund will assign you a 13-digit registration number. The first three digits are the code of the subject of the Russian Federation; the next three digits - code of the district (city); the next six digits are the serial number of the record about the individual in the PFR department.

If you plan to hire employees, you need to register with the Pension Fund as an insured no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the employment contract. Registration takes place at the territorial authority of the FIU at your place of residence. Provide the whole package of documents and you will be given a "Notice of registration as an insured, making payments to individuals".

If you want to pay insurance premiums for yourself more than prescribed by law, you must register with PRF separately. To do this, provide a statement, passport, insurance certificate of compulsory pension insurance, a notice of registration as a compulsory pension insurance policyholder. Within 10 days you will be given a "Notice of registration of the policyholder who has voluntarily entered into legal relations for compulsory pension insurance"

It is necessary to register with the Pension Fund if you do not have employees — register and pay only for yourself; if you have employees — register as an employer and pay more for them.

If the registration deadline is violated, a fine of 5000 rubles may be charged.

Individual entrepreneurs can be registered with the FIU as insurers on the grounds: as self-employed; as making payments to individuals; as paying a fixed payment above the minimum.
