Instruction manual

1

Before deciding to register a private enterprise, decide what you will do, that is, choose the type of activity. Familiarize yourself with the tax regime and choose the most suitable for you. Please note that each type of activity has its own statutory types of taxation.

If you want to receive compensation for the costs of registering an IP from an employment center, register as unemployed before you register the company. IP registration is carried out by the tax office.

2

If you do not have a TIN (taxpayer identification number), put a dash instead of indicating the number. The tax inspectorate will give you the TIN along with documents on registration of you as an individual entrepreneur. But in this case, the registration period of the IP will increase by the period of registration of the TIN.

3

Now you need to fill out the documents for registration of individual entrepreneurs to submit them to the tax office. Arm yourself with a reference code of OKVED (All-Russian Classifier of Economic Activities). Find in it codes for the type of activity that you plan to engage in. Indicate as many codes as possible in the application, because a separate fee is charged for entering additional codes when your IP is already registered. But first, indicate the main activity in the list. The application can be filled out either manually or printed on a computer, and then certified by a notary. If you hand over the documents personally, then notary services are not required.

4

Pay the state fee for registration of IP. In 2011, such a state duty is 800 rubles. Details for payment of receipts can be found in the tax office, where you will register IP. That is, at the tax office of residence. In the event of a refusal to register an IP, the state duty is not refunded, so be very careful when filling out the application - no mistakes and typos should be made.

5

Take the application in one copy, the paid receipt with a copy of the passport and TIN (if any) to the tax office. If you want to switch to a simplified taxation system, include a statement on the transition to a simplified tax system in the set of documents.

6

Within 5 days, the tax must register you as an individual entrepreneur or give a waiver. If you make a positive decision at the tax office, you should receive a certificate of registration as an individual entrepreneur and an extract from the unified state register of individual entrepreneurs.
