"Starting the New Year, starting a new life!" - how often do we hear this from our loved ones. The options for a “new life” can be different: I’ll start going to a fitness club, get a promotion at work, go on a vacation to Italy … But here the gifts are unpacked, the champagne is drunk, the olivier is eaten, and we are again covered with everyday activities. Yes, we still really want to go to a fitness club, and the subscription has already been bought, but it’s only today that’s it, tomorrow it’s business, and even at the weekend, it seems, it will not be possible to break out … How can we learn to plan our time so that to be in time?

Instruction manual

1

The unwritten does not exist. First of all, write down your goals. No matter how small or large they are. Let the most modest goal take on a written form: this will help to better formulate and further structure it. Do not be afraid to dream - without a dream there can be no purpose.

2

Most likely, not each of your goals can be achieved in a year. Think about what steps you will take to achieve it and how long it is realistic to complete each step. Structure your goal, let it be broken down into many small points and sub-points. It is important to see specific, small goals. And, most importantly, set a specific deadline for each item. Here is a simple example:

The goal is to go to Rome in September for two weeks. For this:

1) Calculate the estimated cost of the trip.

a) Ask friends who recently traveled to Italy.

b) Search for information on the Internet.

Deadline: January 10th.

2) Calculate how much will need to be postponed from the salary for the trip. Deadline: January 10th.

3) Every month to save 10 thousand rubles from the salary. Duration: from January to July, on the 20th day.

4) Decide how best to go: buy a tour or set off "on your own." Deadline: until June.

5) If you have chosen a tour, then track interesting offers on travel agency websites. Duration: from March to June.

5) If you decide to go on your own, then book flights and a hotel.

a) Ask friends who have recently traveled to Italy.

b) Search for information on the Internet.

c) Choose the most advantageous offers.

Deadline: June.

6) Take care of the visa. Duration: July-August.

7) Receive / collect all documents for the trip. The deadline is August-early September.

8) To purchase a guidebook and other things necessary for the trip. The deadline is August-early September.

Perhaps such detailing will seem unnecessary, but then you will not forget anything and will not come across "pitfalls".

3

Choose the most important, most important goal. Important for you at this time. Highlight it in your plan with a different color and pay special attention to it. Think about her, discuss with friends and family if she is not too personal. Perhaps some will perceive your concentration with an ironic smile, but you need to carry out your plan, and not go with the flow, right? And surely in your environment there will be at least a few active and ambitious people who have long been accustomed to be masters of their lives, plan and implement plans instead of just going to work and doing current affairs. As a rule, such people are extremely energetic and infect others with their energy. It’s worth it to communicate with them more often.

4

Take action immediately. Not after the holidays, not from Monday and not tomorrow, but today, now. How many wonderful undertakings and goals have not been realized because of unjustified delay!

5

Do not put the plan into the farthest drawer of the table, let it be in front of your eyes. Reread it, think about your goals. After all, these are your goals, you really want to achieve everything that you wrote. This will stimulate your energy charge. And how pleasant it will be at the end of December to realize what you wanted, planned and - most importantly - done!

Useful advice
