How to check license validity

In order to control the process of providing services and the production of goods subject to licensing, representatives of the licensing authority and other departments in whose competence is the activity of an organization, conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections of the activities of organizations. How are they carried out, and what can be the reason for an unscheduled check?

If you want to know the validity period of your license, contact the licensing authority with a request and apply for an extract from the license registry. But be careful, as your appeal may initiate an unscheduled audit of your organization, especially if your license is about to expire and you have not yet submitted documents to renew it.

Typically, the commission is engaged in scheduled inspections of organizations no more than 1 time in 2 years. The duration of such a check is no more than 5 days. At least 3 days in advance, you will be notified of an impending audit. But if, for example, you are the owner of a security company, the commission will check both the level of services you provide and the effect of licenses for weapons and special equipment.

If any irregularities have been identified as a result of the scheduled inspection process, get ready for the visit of the commission from the licensing authority and other departments with an unscheduled inspection soon to follow.

In addition, an unscheduled check is carried out in the following cases:

- upon receipt of information from state control bodies on violation by the licensee of the conditions and requirements of the license;

- after the appeal of citizens, individual entrepreneurs or legal entities with complaints of violation of their interests and rights through the actions of the licensee;

- upon receipt of other documents and other evidence of violations.

Provide all necessary documents for verification. If the inspection is unscheduled, in addition to the documents, you will be required to provide explanations or refutations of your actions, documented.

Get one of 2 copies of the act drawn up according to the results of the audit. If violations have been identified, the act indicates which conditions have been violated. In addition, the deadlines for eliminating violations are also indicated.

After all violations have been resolved, notify the licensing authority in writing.
