How to get a license to trade in alcohol

Alcoholic beverages are a lucrative business. But licensing is associated with certain difficulties, while the sale of alcohol-containing products without a license is illegal.

Special requirements apply to everything, starting from the premises where you will trade. Its size should be at least 50 square meters. meters; the premises must meet the standards of the sanitary-epidemiological and fire inspections. Also, the room should not be located closer than 100 meters from kindergartens, schools, hospitals and clinics. If the premises are not in your ownership, you need a lease agreement concluded for the same period for which the license is issued. If the contract is drawn up for a period of more than a year, it must be registered.

Licenses for the sale of alcohol are not issued to individual entrepreneurs - registration of an LLC or a closed company is mandatory. The size of the authorized capital of your company should be at least 300 thousand rubles, if the company is included in the register of small businesses, and at least 1 million rubles for all other organizations. Catering enterprises by the size of their authorized capital are not limited.

There must be a registered cash register at the point of sale. If you have several points, then a certified copy of the license should be in each of them. If you plan to trade in alcohol in another region, your license will be valid only if the regional authorities have concluded a special agreement; if it is not there, then you will have to obtain a license in the territory of another region - the already obtained one will be invalid there.

A permissive document is issued by the regional licensing departments on the basis of a statement by the head and provided in accordance with a specific list of documents. Documents are considered within 30 days. Remember to pay license fees.

A license is issued for a certain period, after which it can be renewed - also upon application and with the provision of documents. Do not forget to apply for an extension at least one month before the expiration date.

In addition to a mandatory check before obtaining a license, a check of your outlets will be carried out annually. If controllers find violations, the license may be suspended for no more than 6 months. The license is not extended for the period of its suspension! If you trade with violations or without a license at all, you, as a leader, face civil, administrative or even criminal liability.
