How to open your store in the village

Have you decided to open a store in one of the villages in your region? No matter what you are going to trade, it is important to know that any business in the village is associated with specific difficulties, which every entrepreneur who cares not only about his own benefit, but also about the needs of the villager, can overcome it.

Assess the opportunities for your business. To do this, study the goods market in the area of ​​your region where you plan to open a store. Think about whether your trading company will cooperate only with centralized suppliers or whether you plan to deal with the procurement of goods from the local population (cooperative trade). So, for example, you can buy agricultural products from local residents for the purpose of their further processing (for example, goat milk, which is in great demand among citizens). In this case, you will need to conclude agreements with processing enterprises and, if possible, ensure uninterrupted supply of products.

Choose a site for the future store. Buy a plot with utilities, as in rural areas there may simply not be enough capacity for your connection if you buy a plot without gas, water and electricity.

You can build a store from scratch, or you can conclude an agreement with the local administration to rent some empty space, which, unfortunately, is now a lot in Russian villages. Do not occupy an unauthorized empty house. Firstly, it can be privately owned, and secondly, the reaction of local residents to your encroachments can be unpredictable, even if you were born and raised in this village.

If you took a plot for further construction, be sure to contact the cadastral service to amend the Unified State Register and compile a new cadastral passport. After construction, contact the BTI and get a certificate of technical inventory of the premises. Get positive conclusions in the sanitary and epidemiological surveillance and fire protection (can be issued at the design and construction stage of the house).

You can also organize a mobile store for the village. This is a fairly profitable enterprise, especially in the summer season, when many citizens come to rest in the countryside. Offer them and the local population those goods that you can buy only in a large village. To do this, you need to issue an IP and a health book (in the case of the sale of grocery products) and rent or buy a cargo van.
