How to open an IP in Moscow

The procedure for state registration of an individual entrepreneur in Moscow does not differ from other subjects of the Federation. The only caveat - Muscovites do not have to submit documents to the tax office serving their registration address, but to MIFNS-46 in Moscow.

You can find the application form for registration of IP on the Internet. And in practice, this is a more realistic way to get it than trying to do it directly in the tax. IFTS-46 has an electronic queue system, and its subdivision engaged in registration of IPs only accepts documents and does not issue application forms. They are not in the public domain and in the common room.

Filling out the application is not particularly difficult. Sections that are not related to you (for example, for minors and foreigners, if you are a citizen of the Russian Federation at the age of 18 years) do not need to be filled out.

You should not write anything in the sections intended for filling by a notary and tax employees.

The section dedicated to OKVED codes deserves special attention. It should be filled out on the basis of the current code of OKVED codes, which is easy to find on the Internet.

There are no restrictions on the number of codes. The fact that space is limited for them should not be confusing. It is enough to make the necessary number of copies of this page. Just remember to include them in the numbering.

It’s better to indicate as many codes as possible, based on what you know how, what you plan to do, and what your business can develop in the future.

Print out the completed application and visit a notary public. In his presence, sign the document, and he will assure your signature.

For a visit to a notary public you will need a passport and money. The average price of this service in Moscow is about 1 thousand rubles.

Staple the application sheets with a stapler. In the place of fastening on the back, stick paper with the number of sheets, the date and your signature. You can also take self-adhesive paper for this at IFNS-46, attach it to the application and fill it in place.

Pay the state fee. You can specify its size and details for payment in your tax office, on the website of the Federal Tax Service of the city of Moscow. It is also accessible to everyone to fill out a receipt on the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia (the service "Fill in a payment order"). As the payee, indicate not your district tax, but MIFNS-46.

Save the receipt to your computer, print and pay at the nearest branch of Sberbank.

Take the finished package of documents to MIFNS-46, take an electronic queue and wait until your number appears on the board.

If you want to switch to a simplified system, along with the application for registration, submit a request for transferring you to the STS. The form of this document can be taken at MIFNS-46 and filled out right on the spot.

If everything is in order, after five working days you will visit MIFNS-46 again. There you will be given a certificate of registration of IP and an extract from the Unified State Register of Enterprises.
