How to open an electrical installation company

A company that performs electrical work, from the point of view of the current legislation, is the same construction organization as a team of masons or plasterers. Therefore, if you are aimed not at fulfilling small orders from case to case, but at serious work with white bookkeeping, you will have to join a self-regulatory construction organization.

Select the electricians with whom you intend to work, based on the fact that in order to get access to electrical work, some of your employees must have a higher education in construction, all of them must have at least several years of experience in construction. It’s best to recruit personnel for an electrical installation team, guided by personal experience and recommendations - four to five people will be enough for a start. If you are planning to open an electrical installation company, you are clearly not a beginner in this matter, have extensive acquaintances and know how to distinguish a bad specialist from a good one.

Submit an application and a package of necessary documents to a self-regulatory construction organization. You will need the constituent documents of your company (certificate of legal entity formation or registration of an individual entrepreneur) and documents confirming the qualifications of the head of the company and all its employees. Having officially received admission to electrical work, you agree to keep a “white” bookkeeping office and pay taxes regularly, and therefore it would be nice to use the services of one of the companies providing accounting services, or simply hire a visiting accountant.

Find an office or just a “base” for your company - renting a room just to take orders will be unprofitable at first, but you still need a small warehouse for equipment and tools. For this purpose, you can rent a small room in the "inexpensive" place of the city. If things are going well for your company, then you can think about a real office closer to the center.

Organize the comprehensive promotion of your services in the market - try to find the most effective channel for advertising, and for this try first the various options. Advertise in print media, print and distribute leaflets or post advertisements, create your own website and invest in its promotion - the last promotion channel will almost certainly give positive results. Remember that attracting customers for the newly created electrical installation team is the first priority on which the fate of your company depends.
