Visit several markets in your city (assortment, demand, competitors). Choose the organization form of your outlet (counter, self-service). Decide which products you will sell. Will it be just any one type of product (for example, shoes) or are you planning to open trade in haberdashery, etc.

Contact Rospotrebnadzor with a notice that you are starting a trade. In the notification, indicate the types of goods that you intend to sell. If you plan to trade in food or alcohol, you will need to obtain the appropriate licenses and certificates.

If you are going to open a point in the market, choose the market that is popular with buyers of all ages and all walks of life, and not the one closest to your home.

Get the conclusions of sanitary and fire supervision if you plan to start trading indoors (at least only in winter).

Buy equipment and goods. All purchased goods must have all certificates of conformity and quality. If you intend to make purchases in the capital or foreign markets, try to learn in advance from reliable sources that there are no problems with the law and with the quality of the goods from potential suppliers.

Lay out all the goods so that it is convenient to take them from hangers, shelves. Write down the price tags: product name, price, manufacturer (optional).
