How to accept a warehouse

When entering as a storekeeper or manager in a new warehouse, require an inventory of all material assets, regardless of how long (or recently) it was carried out.

After the head of the organization has signed an order on your appointment, he must issue an order on the creation of a special inventory commission.

The commission must prepare an inventory plan, which must indicate:

- areas for inventory activities;

- a list of employees who will carry out recalculations of material assets in these zones;

- the timing of recounts in each of the zones.

The manager must approve this plan and issue an order to suspend the inventory activities for the time being:

- movement of goods in storage facilities;

- moving goods to other enterprises;

- shipment of goods to customers.

The head issues an order on the composition of the counting commissions in accordance with the previously approved plan for conducting inventory measures. The inventory committee should at this time prepare inventory of material values ​​and instruct the employees of the counting commissions. And its chairman should receive receipts from materially responsible persons that all incoming and outgoing documents have been transferred to the commission (handed over to the accounting department).

After that, the product is recounted. After its completion, the inventory committee checks the accuracy and correctness of the design of inventories. If there are no comments on the content of the inventory, then the inventory commission transfers all data on the measures taken to the accounting department. Only after no discrepancies between these data and accounting data are revealed in accounting, the commission draws up an act with a positive decision regarding the work of your predecessor. Then you can begin to work in this warehouse.
