How to build a road

Quite often, recently the question arises, when, finally, we will have good roads. Is it really so difficult to build at least once a normal, solid road that would not be repaired every year. It’s probably nice to drive a car with a breeze, not afraid to run into a huge pit, and then give the car for repair. Maybe you just need to follow all the rules when building roads. How are roads actually built? Of course, the construction of the road is a rather laborious and complicated process. It seems so simple at first glance. In order to build a road, it is necessary to do the following work:

Conduct a study of the soil on which the road will run, this is necessary in order to avoid failures or subsidence of the soil after the road has already been laid. Next, carry out the development of the soil (a special deepening is made in the soil, the soil is compacted and compacted) using special machines, in rare cases this work is done manually.

Lay a gasket from a new material - geotextiles, this is necessary so that the rubble that the trucks will bring does not fall into the ground, since it will not withstand the weight of a loaded machine. Then lay the waste slag and lay a granite shield on it, this is necessary to link all layers to the base of the road.

Lay a layer of crushed stone, but not just in bulk, but using special technology, first a larger crushed stone, then a smaller crushed stone that rolls and seeps into the cracks between the large crushed stone, while clogging voids. After that, the foundation of the future road becomes more dense, stable and resilient.

Lay asphalt on top of all these layers, which also lay in several layers, it depends on the type of road and the load on the roadway. Naturally, each type of asphalt is made for each road; it can be coarse-grained, dense, porous, and fine-grained.

Tamp the asphalt with the help of special machines, under pressure, the asphalt adheres more firmly to all the previous layers of our road. The foundation, or, in other words, the foundation, plays a large role in the construction of roads. If the foundation is strong, reliable and durable, then the road itself will serve us for more than one year. However, it is worth applying and introducing new developments and technologies into road construction, and then, perhaps, we will achieve a solution to road problems.
