How to open a taxi business

Taxi services are a highly competitive business. However, having offered your customers high quality services, having thoroughly invested in advertising, you can well succeed in this market. The essence of this business is to coordinate with the help of dispatchers people who are eager to go somewhere and drivers.

Register as an individual entrepreneur or create a legal entity. This is done by filing an application for registration and other documents (for an individual entrepreneur - only a passport and a receipt for paying the state duty, for a company - personal documents of the founders, its constituent documents and a receipt for paying the state fee) to the tax office. Registration takes five business days.

Rent a small control room. Where it will be located does not matter, because customers will not come to you. Buy or rent a minimum set of office furniture, computers.

Hire frequencies from a licensed carrier. It will be cheaper than obtaining such a license on your own. Hire dispatchers and schedule your taxi service to work around the clock.

Pick up the drivers. This will be a rather difficult task, since you are unlikely to be able to offer them high income (at the level of more advanced companies). At first, you can try to search through friends. It is important that the driver’s taxi income is the main one, otherwise he may not stay with you.

Your task is to get as many applications from customers as possible. To do this, you will need to immediately start a rather tough advertising campaign: create and promote a website, think through bonuses and discounts for regular customers.

Clients will choose your taxi service if you will serve them better than others. The quality for a taxi service is determined primarily by the speed of the car, i.e. how much time passes between the receipt of the application and the arrival of the car. Ideally, the client should not wait more than 20-30 minutes. It is equally important that drivers are not late and know the routes that allow them to bypass traffic jams (especially on the way to the airport, train station, etc.).
