Analyze the furniture manufacturing market in your city and region. Choose for yourself the main direction in which you will work - the production of upholstered furniture, office, custom, etc. Identify competitors, take note of their shortcomings.

Pick up the rooms. There should be at least two of them - a salon-shop, which will also house an office for receiving orders (if you will produce furniture to order), and a furniture production workshop. Look for a storeroom in the places of the largest concentration of potential customers. A good solution is the city center, hypermarkets, public transport stops. The production workshop, on the contrary, is located not far from the city. Renting a room there is cheaper, in addition, the inevitable noise will not bother anyone. Of course, the most optimal option is an office, a workshop and a salon-shop in one place.

Get the necessary equipment and software for the production. A large selection of machine tools with computer programs for modeling and manufacturing furniture is presented on the modern equipment market. You will also need a basic set of equipment: turning, milling, format-cutting machines and jigsaw. Buy or rent a car to transport furniture and materials.

Pick up staff. You will need: sellers in the store, designer-acceptor of orders (for the production of furniture to order), workers in the workshop (the quantity will depend on the volume of production), a driver. The designer must be familiar with common production programs. To work in the workshop, select specialists who are able to work on various machines with different materials.
