Travel business is a broad concept that includes several subspecies of activity. First of all, you will need to decide which activity attracts you the most. The easiest and most popular solution today is to open a travel agency and sell tickets to selected destinations, receiving commissions. The travel agency does not form trips on its own, it only sells ready-made, bought from a tour operator - its partner.

If you want to engage not in communication with customers, but in building relationships with airlines, hotels and other vacation organizers for tourists, you need to obtain a tour operator license. If you plan to also sell airline tickets, you will need an additional license to carry out this type of activity.

The implementation of tourist activities is possible with any form of ownership. Registration as an individual entrepreneur or the opening of an LLC or a closed joint-stock company is possible. However, there are mandatory requirements, for example, an office or at least three years of work experience for employees to open a travel agency and at least five for a tour operator. Requirements for licensing the activities of travel agencies are detailed in the Regulation on the licensing of travel agents and tour operators.

After you decide what kind of activity you will be engaged in, proceed to the preparation of the necessary documents, advertising and promotion of your company. Visit professional exhibitions and workshops more often, where you can establish relations with tour operators if you decide to open a travel agency, or agree on favorable conditions for tourists to relax if you are a tour operator.
