Whether crossing the border will be successful depends largely on preliminary preparation, so take the conclusion of a contract with all seriousness. Even at this stage, it is necessary to accurately calculate the cost of the goods, including duties, freight, fees and other expenses. At the same time, the Chinese side will most likely be a bad assistant to you.

Find a good translator who can correctly translate all the nuances of the contract. The Chinese mentality allows distorting information at any level, and the manufacturer always wins. He will try to pass on any responsibility to you, including the blame for the incorrect execution.

Pay special attention to the quality of goods from China. The Chinese have their own standards, which differ significantly from the requirements for Russian manufacturers. All goods must undergo examination (certification), otherwise they will not be released from the country. Please note: when exporting goods with certificates in the form "A" you can get a 50% discount on the payment of duties.

Try to track the packaging and sealing of the goods at the dispatch stage, otherwise a large amount of marriage is likely. If this is not possible - do not take the goods at 100% prepayment, it will be difficult to return the money. In addition, improper weighing and measurement of cargo can lead to its “freezing” at customs. It is desirable that the manufacturer is responsible for this (stipulate this in the contract).

At customs, you should be with a full package of correctly executed documents. If the amount paid to the supplier does not correspond to the declared value and invoice, you may be charged with illegal transfer of money. If the container exceeds the declared weight, you will be recognized as a smuggler. At the slightest suspicion, you can be detained for 48 hours, and even check all bank payments and transactions.
