How to write a sales receipt

A sales receipt confirms your consumer’s right to exchange goods or refund the amount of money paid for them. This is a document of the established form, written out by the seller and confirms the fact of the sale itself.

This sales receipt is presented to the accounting department and confirms the fact of purchase for a certain amount. You will be reimbursed for expenses incurred for your own money, but for business purposes. When filling out a sales receipt, the following information shall be indicated:

- Name of product;

- it's price;

- quantity;

- amount paid;

- Date of sale;

- check number;

- name of the seller (store);

- the signature of the person directly selling the goods;

- print.

When filling out a sales receipt, generalizations are not used, each product should be indicated separately: "toilet soap - 1 pc. At a price of 15 p. / Pc., Toilet paper - 3 pc. At a price of 10 p. / Pc.".

If there is no seal on the sales receipt, the TIN, the name of the organization and the seller's signature are indicated. Modern cash registers issue checks with full information: date, price and name of goods. But even in this case, ask to write you a sales receipt or stamp it on a cash document.

When buying goods from an organization or individual entrepreneur working without a cash register, you also have the right to receive a sales receipt. The information contained in it should be even more extensive:

- name, serial number and date of issue of the document;

- name of organization or full name of individual entrepreneur;

- tax identification number;

- name of the product or service;

- quantity;

- amount payable (in rubles);

- position, full name of the person issuing the document;

- The name of the store and its address;

- Sometimes a PSRN and passport details of an entrepreneur are required (usually in the absence of a residence permit).

When buying, sellers often specify whether a sales receipt is needed. According to the rules, it is mandatory.

Useful advice

If it is not possible to write a sales receipt, draw up an act indicating the quantity and name of the goods. Indicate the purpose of its purchase.
