How to open an IP in Belarus

Regulation of small businesses in Belarus and Russia is similar, but getting the status of an individual entrepreneur in Belarus and starting an activity is somewhat more difficult. To do this, you need to register with the relevant state bodies, obtain, if necessary, a license for activity, register prices for your goods or services, make a seal.

To become an individual entrepreneur in Belarus, you first need to register as such with the relevant authorities (regional executive committee, state executive committee or administration - depending on the municipal unit). For registration you need to provide the following package of documents:

1. statement (indicating the types of activities according to the classifier of types of activities);

2. application form (it can be taken at the registration authority);

3. employment record (if any);

4. photograph;

5. receipt of state duty.

After registration, the entrepreneur must register with the tax office of residence by submitting an application. Within 10 days, the tax office assigns a taxpayer identification number and issues a document about this.

It is important to find out if the activity you want to carry out is subject to licensing. Types of licensed activities are listed in the "Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Belarus of 08.21.1995 No. 456". To obtain a license, you must write an application and pay the corresponding fee. The term for issuing a license is 30 days.

After registration, you need to open a bank account. The entrepreneur himself chooses the bank in which he wants to open an account. To do this, you need the following documents:

1. statement;

2. a copy of the registration document;

3. a duplicate of the document on the assignment of the taxpayer account number;

4. card signatures of officials.

Within 15 days from the date of registration, an individual entrepreneur should register with the Social Protection Fund. Also at this time you need to get permission from the district department of the interior to print an individual entrepreneur. To obtain such permission, the following documents are provided:

1. statement;

2. a copy of the registration document;

3. thumbnails of seals certified by the registration authority.
