How to organize security at the enterprise

Each company and enterprise must take care of the safety of property and ensure the protection of the enterprise. This problem can be solved in two ways: create your own security service at the enterprise or entrust the performance of security functions of a third-party organization. The features of the organization of activities for the preservation of property will depend on the choice of a particular method.

Consider a system of organizational and legal measures to ensure the security of the enterprise through the comprehensive protection of its facilities, territory and material values. Measures should ensure the full functioning of the enterprise in a competitive environment. In any case, the performance of security functions is an auxiliary task and should not reduce the effectiveness of the main production.

Create your own security service at the enterprise or enter into an agreement with a legal entity that has a valid license to engage in private security activities.

Define security objectives. First of all, this is the prevention of attacks on the property of the enterprise and the prevention of material damage to it.

Make a list of stationary objects of the enterprise to be protected (production and other working premises, equipment, storage facilities for material assets, communications, etc.). Include vehicles, travel routes, venues for business meetings and business events in the list of objects to be protected.

Consider how access control will be implemented at the enterprise in relation to employees, visitors, transport and cargo. The forms of control should include the procedure for establishing an identity, preventing unauthorized movement of visitors across the territory of the enterprise, as well as recording attempts to steal property from the protected territory (usually through visual observation and video monitoring).

If necessary, consider organizing the maintenance of material assets and personnel to prevent harm to them during transportation.

Calculate the need for security services in technical security equipment (weapons, radio communications, authorized special equipment, audio and video control devices, etc.). One of the security options is patrolling with service dogs.

If you have chosen the option of organizing your own security service, pay special attention to the selection of personnel. Security personnel must meet the requirements regarding their state of health, moral-volitional qualities and professional skills.

Combine all the moments of the implementation of security activities and document them in the form of provisions and instructions that are binding on all employees of the enterprise. Conduct the security service by order of the enterprise, appointing the person responsible for the organization of security measures.
