How to arrange an import of goods

Import is the import of any goods or products from the territory of one country for their subsequent sale on the domestic market of their state. In this case, the buyer of the goods acts as the importing country, and the seller - the exporting country.

For the goods to go through the import procedure, pay all the necessary duties and taxes (the list can be found on the website of the Customs Administration), take into account the prohibitions on the import of certain categories of goods, provide all the required documents confirming the restrictions associated with the use of antidumping and countervailing, as well as special protective measures. If all these conditions are met, then in this case the goods will receive the status of the so-called goods of the Customs Union.

To carry out such an operation, prepare a foreign economic contract, where you must indicate the maximum consideration of the terms of the transaction itself. In addition to this, issue a transaction passport, insure cargo, pay all customs payments, and issue the documents necessary for performing non-tariff control. The last group includes certificates of fire safety and compliance, notification of the Federal Agency for Government Communications and Information under the President of the Russian Federation, import quarantine permit, veterinary certificate and more.

Carry out all preliminary calculations regarding the cost of the contract according to the data provided by the importing country, select the optimal delivery basis and sign the agency agreement. Do the latter only if the goods are imported through a third-party organization.

Acquire currency and make payment to the supplier organization. After this, the goods must be insured and arranged for its shipment.

Provide the customs authority with all the documents collected and executed earlier (they were mentioned a little higher), and then receive the goods at the border, check it and send it to your warehouse. The procedure for completing the import of goods is completed. Do not make mistakes in collecting information, and the goods will be delivered to you without any delay.
