How to apply for licensing

Licensing is a form of state control of entrepreneurial activity. It is regulated by the federal law of 08.08.2001 No. 128-ФЗ, in the appendix to which those types of economic activity are listed that can be carried out only with special permission - license. If your business is covered by this law, you need to prepare documents for this permission.

Write a free-form application with a request to provide a license in the name of the head of the territorial body that carries out licensing for this type of activity. The application is written in any form, in the text indicate the full name of the legal entity and other information about it.

Attach to the application a list of documents that confirm your right to carry out this type of business. The list of documents must be numbered and the number of pages in each of them must be indicated.

Specify in advance what documents you will need to prepare, since their list for different types of activities can differ significantly. In addition, the licensing authority may present its design requirements.

Pay the state fee for the licensing authority to review your application and attach a payment document confirming this fact or a copy of it to the package of documents.

Familiarize yourself with the specific regulation on licensing of the type of activity that you are going to register. It contains a list of those documents that will be required. Make copies of the constituent documents, which must be notarized. If you do not want to certify copies, then the originals will have to be attached.

Make copies of the documents, the list of which is determined by regulation. Number documents that contain more than two sheets, number and lace up, sealing the ends of the cord with a piece of white paper glued on top of them with your signature and company seal.

File all documents in a separate file. Make a title page on which write the name of your company and indicate the type of activity for which you want to obtain a license.

Submit documents to the licensing authority and hand them over according to inventory. Receive this inventory with a mark on the date of receipt of documents. Within 45 calendar days, your application must be considered. For some activities, this period may be shortened.
