How to start a business in construction

Since the compulsory licensing of repair and construction activities has been canceled, it would seem to be easier to engage in the "white" construction business. However, until now, anyone who wants to carry out construction work by registering a legal entity will face many formal difficulties. Nevertheless, it is quite possible to open a legal business in construction today.

You will need

• - Masters of different profiles to equip the staff of the brigade (at least four);

• - membership in a self-regulatory organization;

• -website and other means to promote the company.

Assemble a team of craftsmen that meets the requirements that self-regulatory construction organizations impose on repair and construction teams. You need to find at least one carpenter, one electrician, one plumber and one plasterer. This is the minimum permissible composition of the team, while among the workers there should be specialists with higher construction education, experience in construction for all is mandatory.

Submit to the self-regulatory organization all the documents required for joining it and obtaining permission to carry out construction work (replacing compulsory licensing). Among them are a certificate of registration of an individual entrepreneur (or legal entity), a passport of an individual entrepreneur (or the charter of an organization), copies of diplomas of all masters in the brigade, as well as a diploma of the director of the company, which must also have a higher education in construction.

Start developing a promotion strategy for your newly formed construction company. This task is brought to the forefront, since the competition in the construction business is truly huge. The result will come to you only when grateful customers start telling all their friends and acquaintances about you, but for this you need to somehow prove yourself - only advertising will help to do this.

Spend some amount on creating your team’s own website - the budget for promotion in the construction industry is large, but this money should not be wasted in vain. Advertising in print media will not bring much effect - too many similar companies already offer their services on their pages. It would be better to distribute leaflets near the newly-built buildings, to place their ads near newly commissioned houses.

Having declared yourself as a “white” construction company, try to immediately enter the battle for corporate orders - large facilities provide the company with work for a long time.

To transport tools and building materials, the construction and repair team will need their own car or a minibus (you can use a used one) - many construction companies use the Gazelle for this purpose.
